Accents of the USA

Accents of the USA was an Electronic Publication, part of an online service 2006-2010. It was a member of the Streaming Speech family. It featured eight accents from the USA. It was for intermediate learners. The purpose was to familiarise users with a variety of accents, and to compare them to the standard accents of English language textbooks. This image shows the first page of the introduction, and the faces of the speakers, and the locations that they came from. This publication was a twin of Accents of the UK, and the chapters and exercises followed the same pattern as that publication – so read more here, or email me richardcauldwell@me.com
